Privacy policy

How Villa La Siesta handles your personal data. Last updated: 3 November 2026.

1. Who is responsible

The controller for this website is:
Villa La Siesta
Calle Juan Carlos Pau, 4, 03730 Jávea (Alicante), Spain
E-mail: info@villalasiesta.com

For any question about your data, write to the address above.

2. Booking requests

When you send the booking form, we receive your name, e-mail address, arrival and departure dates, number of guests and your message. We use them only to answer you, confirm availability and prepare your stay. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The form sends an e-mail; the website keeps no copy in its database. We delete your request when it is no longer needed. If you book, we keep what tax and accounting law requires, for the legal period.

3. Visiting the website

Our host, Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland), records technical data for each visit (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) in server log files. This keeps the site running and secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are kept only as long as this purpose requires, then deleted. The EU recognises Switzerland as providing an adequate level of data protection.

The site uses system fonts and loads no fonts, videos, maps or social media buttons from other companies.

The game on our error page (404) has a public top 10. If your score qualifies and you choose to save it, we store only the nickname you type and your score; older entries drop out as better scores arrive. To prevent abuse, a coded, unreadable trace of your IP address is kept for 20 seconds, then deleted automatically. You can ask us to remove your nickname at any time.

4. Cookies and statistics

On your first visit, a consent banner (Complianz) asks for your choice. A functional cookie remembers it. Statistics cookies from Google Analytics are set only if you accept them (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change your choice at any time on the cookie policy page.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses.

5. Spam protection

The form contains an invisible field (WP Armour) that stops automated spam. It sets no cookie and sends nothing to other companies.

6. Who receives your data

Only the people who handle your booking request, our host for the technical operation of the site and, if you accepted statistics, Google. We never sell your data.

7. Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time for the future. Write to info@villalasiesta.com.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es) or, in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch).

8. Visitors from Switzerland

This policy also applies under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP).

9. Changes

We update this policy when the website changes. The version published on this page applies.
